Netherlands Pavilion at MWC

Barcelona

Outline

For our second collaboration with The Netherlands, we conceived and produced their pavilion using a vast majority of prefabricated and reusable items for them to attend Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2022 in a more sustainable way.

Case

MWC Barcelona is the world’s largest and most influential event for the connectivity industry. With a focus on mobile and everything to do with IoT, AI, 5G and the Internet of Things, Mobile World Congress Barcelona is where tomorrow’s technology is launched.

Connectivity is the key to our future prosperity and well-being. Having a Pavilion at MWC 2022 is an important event for The Netherlands as it connects the country to the world. It is the opportunity to provide a vibrant meeting point for industry leaders. Focusing on connecting people and businesses, the purpose of their participation was to inspire visitors with a curated selection of Dutch companies, products and services that are leading the charge of future trends. For our second collaboration over a 6-month period, we made sure to fulfil their needs and provided them with an eco-friendly pavilion.

Thank you so much for all the work that has been done, our customers were truly satisfied.

The Netherlands Pavilion is driven by sustainability from design to prototyping and storage

Work process

In a world where we want to create smarter and more sustainable events, Mobile World Congress 2022 was the perfect opportunity for us to explore our own sustainability. We reused some of our pre-built items to give them a second life and therefore considerably reduced our carbon footprint.

The Netherlands Pavilion is a unique space offering great opportunities for companies to present themselves, therefore the Pavilion’s image needs to be up to the standard. We transformed previously built elements such as our flooring platform to make them fit within the new space available. Furthermore, we reused all the signage items that had been stored in the meantime and adapted the prefabricated hanging cubes to the new look & feel of the Pavilion.

We love the feeling of being challenged, and that’s what Mobile World Congress is all about.
